GOLF BELLE DUNE - Golfers Ratings

  07-24-2010 - Luc (Belgium Hcp 12,7)

From the 4 courses I played in the region this came out on top. Magnificent layout, very challenging, but fair. Excellent maintenance as well. Unfortunately there were no birdie books available. On the course you don't find a layout of the hole ahead, so we were guessing a few times wether it was a dog leg left or right. Would like to play this course again in future.

Rating: 8.7/10   (Welcoming:8/10  Course:10/10  Facilities:8/10  Value/Money:9/10)

  01-18-2005 - Colin Oatley (Bedfordshire Hcp 16)

Played this course twice now, 2002 & 2003 with a party of 27 golfers handicaps ranging from 0 - 21. Everyone had a very high opinion of this course hence why we visited two years in a row, would have gone back a third time if we hadn't played in Belgium in 04. Some very challenging holes would recomend it to anyone visiting the area.

01-11-2005 - Alan Molloy (Nottingham England Hcp 6)

Look at my earlier review. We did return in September 2004 and boy o boy what a return. The greens were like polished glass, the 6th was a mere. Young assistant off 2, four putted it, and three of the four were very good putts ! Going back in September 2005.....we just can't get enough of this place. One word for Tees, Fairways and Greens...Incredible. (Notice the handicap is creeping up, hope to get another one back before September, i'll need it. Try Belle Dune. If you don't love it, then there's no pleasing some people.

  12-07-2004 - Brynski (Chelmsford, UK Hcp 17)

05/11/2004, Played here for the second time, weather was excellent for this time of year. Course was in superb condition, the greens in particular were very smooth and true. Won't be the last time I play this wonderful course. Buggy recommended.

  02-16-2004 - Alan Molloy (England Hcp 5)

36 of us played this for the second time and all once again thought it was very good. Going back in September 2004 (36 of us again, annual trip). Looking forward to playing when the greens are nice and quick and the sun is out. Couple of 2 and 3 handicappers amonst us and they can't wait for the challange. Recommend this place to anyone first class......and those houses around it......strange or what. Go on have a look for yourself.

  02-05-2004 - Mark Johnson (England Hcp 17)

I played Belle Dune during October. After a torrential rainstorm on the Saturday night, the course was very wet initially, but drained extremely well. The greens are quick but very true. The course is demanding in the trees but accurate golf is rewarded. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. Well worth the trip.

01-08-2004 - Bill the Bandit (England Hcp 8)

Played on 29/11/03. Very cold and wet on last few holes. Good course with nice combination of forest and links. Greens very good for time of year (must be quick in summer). Not a long course but position on faiways all important. Each hole a challenge. Overall, well worth the trip. We will be back in March.

Thursday 23rd October 2003 Weather cold, windy and sunny. Fantastic course and setting, well kept and thoroughly enjoyable round. Played well after poor start on daunting 1st hole.
